Artist Janet Sams

Bio

A woman in white shirt standing next to water.

Artist Sams works with mosaic, acrylic, fabric and now glass, broken glass is her current medium. She love’s the vibrant colors and random shapes of glass. This causes her to think outside the box to develop the next ‘broken glass with epoxy creation. When I source my sea glass and repurpose glass, I look for texture, shape and color, these sources of glass include artisan blowers, shards, porcelains, China, tempered glass, sea glass, shells and stained glass.

“It thrills me to find unwanted glass that I can upcycle into coastal themed glass art. I’m never sure how I will use the pieces I find, but I know that they are pleasing to look at and I keep a real stash of glass for all projects! This helps our ecology by recycling and repurposing glass into nature themed art.”

From running pliers, scorer, nippers, kiln, epoxy, some resins are all essential tools used to create glass art customized to our clientals taste, to Interior designers, homeowners and selected Fine Arts Galleries all revel in Sams stunning creation in sunny Florida.
